Hello Parents! My name is Kelsie Manton. Your children know me as Miss Kelsie. I am the student teacher from Cabrini University in grades 1/2. I will be working with this class every day until May 3rd, 2019. I feel so lucky to have been given the opportunity to work with your children and two awesome teachers over the next fifteen weeks. I went into the field of teaching because I wanted to see children blossom and learn in a way that was unique to them. I quickly learned that not every child learns the same way. This is just one aspect that made me interested in the Montessori theory. Teach to the individual child rather than the class as a whole. I intend to make my lesson plans unique and differentiated to meet the needs of all learners. Some things about me: I grew up in Prospect Park, PA. I started my early childhood education journey at Delaware County Community College, where I received my Associates Degree. In my spare time I like to read, create photo book albums, and interior decorate. I am very much looking forward to this learning experience and hope to get the chance to meet you all along the way! Sincerely, Kelsie Manton
